DIABETICS or know someone who is diabetic please share (Especially Type 1) I got my Dexcom G6 ( The newest model and my first one). While researching the reviews, this model is a lot better then the G5. It gives you an update every 5 minutes of your blood sugar, will let you know if sugar is out of your low and high range which you program in, can be read on smart device or has a device they can give you, Graphs your sugar level, allows you to add in when you take insulin, eat, exercise, or things that may effect sugar from daily life. If sugar does get high or low or is dropping or going up fast it will alert you one time. (Does not repeat again for 30 minutes). You push a button to insert the device and don't feel a thing. They said they had to add a clicking noise because people did not think it was inserting. Feels like a band aid.
So all the great hype. If you see me consistently looking at my phone I am a little obsessive compulsive, but this is great for me and look forward to getting better control of my diabetes. I don't have many highs but do get lows. That is the OB word or as I say, dedicated to what I am focused on.
****Current sugar has been 82-87 for the past 30 minutes. YAY
